A HUSBAND has decided how to spend his wife’s £1million lottery win – and barely took her into consideration.

Paul Roscoe-Roberts, 45, a golf course manager in Bangor, couldn’t believe his luck when his wife Ceri, 42, won big on The National Lottery.

But it was Paul who spent the winnings first on brand-new set of custom-made golf clubs.

Paul said: “The first purchase was a set of golf clubs believe it or not.

“I have never been able to or wanted to do in a way go somewhere get custom fit and then walk out with the clubs.”

He went on to buy himself a car, with Ceri adding that the family would use it, and there was even room in the back for the clubs.

He said: “I went into the showroom – test drove it and then drove it off.”

The car is a Hyundai Tuscon which they will use as the family car and “has a nice big boot for Paul’s golf clubs,” Ceri added.

Ceri, a mum-of-five, said she had an unusual feeling when she bought her winning ticket on Friday.

She woke up with that same strange feeling the next day before finding out she’d won.

She said: “It was the strangest feeling ever.

“I logged into my National Lottery account and there was the confirmation, I was indeed a millionaire.

“I had to pinch myself as I thought I was somehow in the middle of a dream and none of this was actually real.”

Ceri does fully intend to spend her winnings.

The pair is looking to move into a new larger house which will accommodate their three dogs.

She also wants to buy a new car for herself.

Ceri says she has no plans on giving up her work as a manager of a domiciliary care company.

Neither will Paul who will continue to manage golf courses with his newly purchased clubs.

Ceri said: “I can’t believe that we’ve won a million pound on The National Lottery.

“It’s life-changing for us, our family.”

“It changes everything” Paul adds.

Ceri replies: “But it doesn’t change us.”

It comes after Ceri’s gut feeling changed her life forever when she became a millionaire from The National Lottery.

And a Lotto winner thanked her late husband for the prize and told how she will spend the cash in his honour.

Meanwhile, a lucky lotto player in Northampton is yet to claim his whopping prize of £220,000
