A MAN who won £100,000 on one of the UK’s most popular game shows revealed he still hasn’t been paid a year later.
Daniel O’Halloran from Bebington, Wirral, won the whopping prize on ITV quiz show The 1% Club in 2022.

He told nobody but his grandma about the massive scoop until the episode featuring him was broadcast on TV.
He said that his lucky night was filmed in July last year, but didn’t make it onto our screens until April 29.
The 24-year-old told his parents he had opted to settle for the £10,000 he had already banked on the show.
But in reality, he had declined that offer form host Lee Mack and risked it all for the jackpot.
He kept the secret for all those nine months so his family would be able to enjoy the stunning surprise but has now revealed that he has not been paid a penny of his winnings.
Speaking to MailOnline, he said: “Even now I don’t have the money because it comes in 30 days after the show airs”.
This means he is due his huge pay check on May 29.
Recalling the moment on Saturday where his family discovered he had won nearly £90,000 more than he had let on, he said “they were just going nuts”.

He revealed that he did tell a handful of trusted friends about his win but the experience was “beyond anything I could’ve imagined”.
The plant operator said it was a struggle keeping the secret but the excitement on his families faces when they realised the truth made it all worth it.
Speaking to the Echo about keeping it all a secret, he said: “It was very difficult, there were some moments I nearly blurted it out or my family would ask me and I couldn’t keep the smile on my face”.
Daniel also revealed that since the big win he has felt like a local hero and said he was taken aback by the level of support he received from neighbours.
The lucky winner also had nothing but praise for the games show, saying he had an incredible experience and that everyone he met was “kind and lovely”.
The game show tests the logic and common sense of its 100 contestants – but only one player gets to walk away with the fortune.
Recalling his time on the popular show, he told the Cheshire Standard: “I didn’t know how I was going to do it. You only have 30 seconds on each question, but I just got my head in it for those 30 seconds. I remember on the day, my mum and dad both called me for half an hour separately and quizzed me, which was my revision.”
And the prepping from his parents came in handy as he claimed his victory, and said when he finally receives his winnings he plans on doing some work on the house as well as paying off some of the mortgage.
He also wants to travel around the world and enjoy his mega cash prize.
It comes after one woman admitted that she had to keep her £250,000 win secret for seven months for similar reasons.
However, she revealed how her friends guessed that she had bagged the “lifesaving” sum because of her new luxury lifestyle.
