A WOMAN, 21, was brutally trolled and made to feel guilty after buying herself a mortgage-free house – but she’s hit back at the haters.

Katylee Bailey, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, earned her fortune after shooting to internet fame on TikTok.

The youngster began amassing followers after showcasing her relationship with fellow content creator Libby Mae.

While the pair went their separate ways, Katylee again found herself under the spotlight when she sparked a connection with another popular TikToker Grace Waites.

At present, the influencer has garnered a whopping 2.9million followers on the platform, while her Instagram boasts nearly 400,000 fans.

Katylee is known for her light-hearted videos, but things took a sinister turn when she uploaded a clip celebrating the purchase of her new home.

The 21-year-old proudly showed off her mortgage-free property, spraying a bottle of champagne while jumping for joy.

Although her devoted fans expressed nothing but happiness for their idol, haters were quick to flood the comment section with spiteful messages.

One bitter viewer wrote: “And I can’t even afford to buy myself a dairy milk bar from the Co-op.”

Another penned: “Well done but it’s crazy to me that people work, saving throughout their lives and will probably work till their 70 to pay off the mortgage.”

Speaking to Fox News Katylee explained: “People were saying that I was bragging, showing off, the hate just got worse and worse and worse to the point where I felt guilty for doing such a big accomplishment within my life.

“I wanted to feel secure in my life, to have that security, I did such a big thing and people still decided that they wanted to bring me down.

“I think people forget that even though social media isn’t a 9 to 5 there’s still so many things that come with social media.”

She explained she still has to fork out for tax and manage her accounts as any business does.

“I wanted people to grow with me,” she added.

“I just wanted to show people that people can have a big following but still be normal.”

But, the sheer volume of hate prompted an emotional response video from the TikToker.

She used her platform to say: “I just wanted to come on here to say that I’m sorry to anyone who feels like I’m bragging about the house thing.

“Yes, the system is absolutely f***ed, I will never get my head around the fact that I’ve become so lucky.”

The amount of hate even prevented the influencer from moving into her new home.

She said she felt too guilty, as though she was carrying “a heavy weight” and the bullying made her too “scared”.

However, after battling incessant trolling, the influencer eventually rose above the drama.

“I think what I’ve learned from doing social media is you’re never going to make everyone happy,” she added in her interview with FoxNews.

“There’s always going to be people who don’t like you,

“I may have haters who comment, who watch my videos, but the one thing I always laugh about at the end of the day, they might be hating, but they’re also contributing to get me to where I am.”

The savvy TikToker explained every view and every comment, even if it’s negative, gives her content more traction.

“So if they want to hate, they can hate,” she laughed.
