GETTING you chocs off is more expensive than ever.

Asda was blasted for putting up the cost of Cadbury Mini Rolls, selling ten for £3.95 – 30 per cent more than if you bought two packs of five.

After customers complained on Twitter, the supermarket put the price down to £2.50.

So how can you get your mini roll sugar kick without breaking the bank?

Lynsey Hope tucked into the supermarkets’ own brand versions at a fraction of the price, shows you the number of calories and amount of sugar and marks them out of ten.

The cake was light and fluffy and the cream inside had a nice fresh taste.

They are a perfect round shape whereas many of the others look a bit flatter or squashed.

The chocolate on the outside was delicious and great quality, as you’d expect from Cadbury.

The only thing I didn’t like was the price. They were at least 48p cheaper than all others on offer, you are only paying for the brand name here.

Half the size of most of the others and you end up eating more when you buy this tub.

The chocolate is thicker and more decadent and they are a lovely size to pop in your mouth.

A lovely, delicious treat.

Amazing value and really good quality for an own brand product.

The chocolate cake was moist and more-ish and the chocolate had a lovely flavour.

Chocolate cream inside rather than white. I thought they were better than Cadbury.

Ooh, these are yummy. The chocolate is creamy and delicious and the chocolate cream inside was soft and yummy.

The sponge was perfectly moist.

They’re an absolute bargain when you consider they are 56p cheaper per roll than the branded ones.

I’d choose these over the Cadbury ones every day of the week. My winner.

Sadly found these a bit dry and lacking in flavour.

The chocolate was too sweet.

No denying they are an amazing price though if you are looking for a cheap and tasty lunchbox treat.

Quite sweet and higher in calories and sugar than other brands.

I found them too sugary and the sponge was a bit dry, but they are a good price.

The plain purple wrapper on the Morrisons’ cakes looked a bit plain and I was expecting a really budget mini roll.

I was pleasantly surprised.

You pay more than you do at Tesco and Aldi but these are creamy and nice to eat.

No complaints from me.
