A MAN who sold his home for £100k less than he could’ve got for it says he is happy with his decision.
Tony Corden, 60, owned a house in Powys, Wales, complete with extensive grounds, a stream and its own woodland.

The picturesque property could easily be worth up to £340,000.
But Tony recently decided to sell his beautiful home to people he knew for just £240,000, taking a huge financial hit in the process.
Tony said: “Quite a few people said I was crazy
“I don’t think it’s always great to go for the biggest penny, there are other things in life than just making as much money as you can.”
The retired psychiatric nurse bought the house in the early 2000s after living there as a lodger for several years.
His original vision was to use it as a hub for musical and cultural events, including a Latin American music festival, El Sueno Existe, which he founded at the house in 2002.
But when Tony decided to sell and move abroad, he wanted the creative spirit of the house to continue – even if it meant he would lose some cash.
Tony added: “I had a bunch of really nice lodgers who were established there. They were very keen on the idea of it becoming a housing co-operative.

“So I thought – let’s try it and see how far it gets.”
Offering his home at a knockdown price allowed his former lodgers to form a housing co-operative to buy it.
It means they share ownership and management of a house they could not afford as individuals.
And there is one condition for living in the property.
A few days every summer the residents have to agree to leave the house so Tony can continue using it as the hub of El Sueno Existe festival.
Joanna Blyden joined the co-op in 2021 and had to vacate her room for four days for last year’s event.
She said: “I love festivals and I love camping so I got myself a ticket.
“I met the Chilean family who were staying in my room. They were really lovely and thanked us for hosting them.”
It comes after a homeowner did the opposite to Tony and made some cash on her property.
She revealed how she saved £3,000 selling her home without an estate agent in just three weeks.
Meanwhile, a wealthy divorcee has ditched her luxury home to fund a new life on the high seas.
She claims it’ll save her £20K per year and her meals and use of the facilities are included.
