A MAN who scooped £1million on the Euromillions could hardly believe his luck when he won the same sum two years later on his wedding day.

The triumphant ticket holder from France – known only as Alain – is one of the few fortunate lotto players to bag the jackpot twice.

He explained he was out walking his dog when he realised his numbers had come up in 2020, securing him a substantial windfall.

But the skeptical punter initially believed someone was playing a prank on him when he received the news.

After coming to terms with his new ginormous bank balance, Alain took the opportunity to take a break from work while planning his wedding with his bride-to-be.

He also purchased a house for one of his children while treating his loved ones with his newfound wealth.

The Euromillions winner also set aside some cash specifically to fund his wedding and honeymoon.

He and his wife finally got hitched this year in April – and the French native tried his luck on the lotto again on their big day.

Alain sneaked a look at the winning numbers during a break between the ceremony and reception, only to discover he had won again.

He said: “I realised I had won a second time. I came home and told my wife, who was getting ready for the evening.

“I think you could say the party was very successful”.

The double millionaire even decided to take his winning ticket with him as the couple honeymooned in Venice to ensure it was safe.

Alain explained he kept it on him “the whole time” before eventually calling in to claim his win from his hotel in the city of love.

He now plans to use his double winnings to invest in property – but has vowed to continue playing the Euromillions.

The dad added: “I have the same chance as anybody else, and all good things come in threes.”

Alain says both of his wins came in the EuroMillions transnational lottery, where the winner needs seven correct numbers to get the jackpot.

Despite his millionaire status, he has continued to work – but says he is “more relaxed” thanks to his financial security.
