A MUM rescued her doomed £40,000 beach hut — by turning it into a tool shed in her garden.
Sue Green dismantled the valuable cabin as it stood on fragile cliffs about to crumble.
She transported it to her garden where it was reconstructed as a shed, usually costing £1,000.
Sue, 65 — a married lettings agent with three grown-up children — was one of 25 owners told two years ago there was no way to save their huts.
She leapt into action months before the other 24 huts toppled into the sea at Hordle Cliffs, Milford on Sea, Hants.
Sue, of nearby Lymington, said: “The huts used to sell for between £20,000 and £40,000 — and now I’m am using one as a potting shed.”
