A TEACHER has told how he makes an extra £300 a week with his relaxing side hustle – despite his busy schedule.
Faisal Khan, a secondary school maths and science teacher, is passionate about educating the next generation.
But the dad-of-four now earns a flexible second income which fits into his busy life.
Faisal said he always enjoyed driving as a way to “de-stress”, because it relaxes him.
He has now turned his hobby into a handy side-hustle which nets him hundreds of pounds extra per month.
He joined FREENOW around two years ago and has been able to make extra cash each month as a taxi driver.
The dad-of-four told the Express: “I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, and driving a taxi has allowed me to achieve that.
“It’s given me the means to study and work at the same time; I can fit work around my hectic life rather than the other way around.
“Throughout my teacher training and career to date, I have used driving as a way to earn a second income, but also as a way to destress.
“I find driving relaxing and honestly, it has become more like a hobby than a job.”

And his side-hustle gives him flexibility and an extra-income that really boosts his bank account.
He continued: “I have the ability to work to my own schedule, which is vital for me. I can drive on my terms, at the times that work for me.
“This is an advantage for me, being able to choose when I want to work.
“For example, this year, I cut down my teaching hours to three days a week, which I am financially able to do through driving. It means I now have more time to spend with my young family.”
Faisal wants to buy an electric vehicle in the future, making it more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Having driven a taxi for many years, he made the switch to FREENOW two years ago due to the benefits and flexibility that were highlighted to him by a friend in the industry.
Faisal said he is able to spend more time with his family due to less fear of bills not being paid.
The teacher added: “My earnings with FREENOW tend to be up to £300 a week. The money that I get from working as a driver covers all the expenses for the car.”
It comes as Salman Rafiq bought a new car in September, but he barely uses it himself – instead he makes hundreds of pounds a month renting it out to strangers.
And a savvy dad rakes in an extra £400 a year from his Turo side-hustle.
There are other ways you can make money from your motor too – such as Tarek Fergani who makes more than £100 a month renting out his parking space.
