A WOMAN who bought a house at 22 has claimed young people don’t want to make sacrifices to become a homeowner.
Georgina Carson, 25, added: “If you want something that much you would do what you could to get it.”

She put down a five per cent deposit on an £82,500 three-bed terraced home in Wigan with fiancé Freddy Quinn, 27.
Both lived with their parents while saving for the first house, but Georgina insisted it was not the main reason they could buy.
She said: “I still paid rent, probably just not as much as I would have if I moved out.
“We’re not big drinkers so we didn’t go out every weekend and I only bought clothes for occasions or if I needed them.
“We just prioritised. Young people rush to move out so young and then use most of their wages on rent.”
Georgina added: “I still enjoyed myself whilst saving. I always liked to make sure I have money saved to go on weekends away or to go abroad.

“That’s just because I manage my money well not because I come from a wealthy background.”
The couple spent six months during lockdown modernising their first home with DIY YouTube tutorials, costing up to £7,000. They then sold it for £115,000, making a £32,500 profit.
Each earned just over £20,000 per year and saved £1,000 per month between them to carry out different renovations.
One month they would do the tiling, then paint the walls the next month.
Georgina said they also slept on a mattress on the floor, only had a microwave when they ripped the kitchen out and lived very basic.
She urged young people to live with parents if they can or look to buy up north to make money from it.
And she suggested cutting down on coffee or reconsidering Netflix subscriptions, adding: “It won’t give you the money for a house but it does help to save all that extra bit of cash.”
