ONE lucky Brit has unknowingly scooped a £10,000-a-month prize in a lottery draw – and the hunt is on to find them.

The winning punter landed the prize through National Lottery‘s Set For Life draw after buying their ticket in London.

They were said to have nabbed the ticket on October 9.

The player is currently missing out as they could be watching thousands of pounds pour into their bank account each month for a year.

National Lottery is now putting the call out to try find the winner.

The firm’s senior winner’s advisor Andy Carter has now urged people in the capital who bought their tickets in Sutton to check their numbers.

He said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make an enormous difference to somebody’s life.

“The next 12 months could see the lucky winner banking £10,000 every single one month.

“We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old Set For Life tickets again – the easiest way to do this is via the National Lottery app – or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

The winning Set For Life numbers on the day the punter became a little bit richer were 06, 11, 29, 40, 44 and the Life Ball was 05.

They have until April 6 next year to claim their cash.

Like all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their winnings.

If no one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

It comes just days after one Brit missed out on a £1million jackpot prize.

A punter could have pocketed the life-changing sum of money after landing the top EuroMillions prize in the draw on April 21 this year.

The date was a special draw which saw 20 ticket holders guaranteed to win £1m.

But the six-month deadline to claim the prize came and went at midnight on October 18 with no one coming forward.
