Hugo Boss’ success was helped after it enlisted celebrities including Naomi Campbell
Hugo Boss hailed an ‘extremely successful’ quarter after its autumn and winter clothing proved to be a hit with shoppers.
The luxury German fashion brand is on track for a record year after sales jumped 18 per cent in the three months to September 30, to £813m.
That was up from £690m a year earlier, and more than a quarter higher than pre-pandemic levels. Hugo Boss saw profit rise 8 per cent in the period to £80m.
It now expects sales this year of up to £3.1bn, its highest ever, with £290m of profit. But despite the bumper update, shares fell 3 per cent, leaving the business worth £3.1bn.
Hugo Boss is engaged in a revamp focused on refreshing the main Hugo and Boss brands to attract younger shoppers. Its success was helped after it enlisted celebrities including Naomi Campbell (pictured), Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner to endorse its clothing.
