MCDONALD’S fans can bat off the Monday blues by bagging themselves a Quarter Pounder with cheese for 99p instead of £3.29.

You’ll have to buy it through the McDonald’s app to get the offer – and the bargain is only available today.

The average price for a Quarter Pounder is £3.29, which means you can save £2.30.

But prices do vary in each restaurant, according to McDonald’s, so it’s best that customers check the McDonald’s app to see how much it will cost at their nearest restaurant.

A Maccies Quarter Pounder includes a 100% beef quarter pound patty, two slices of cheese, onions, pickles, mustard and tomato ketchup sandwiched between a sesame seed bun.

However, the burger alone will set you back 518 calories – an adult man should consume 2,500 calories a day while it’s 2,000 for a woman.

To get the deal, click on your McDonald’s app, go to the deals tab at the bottom of your screen, and the offer should be there.

It’s only available through mobile order, so you’ll have to pick up your burger through the Maccies click and collect service or use the drive thru.

If you don’t have the McDonald’s app, it’s available to download on Google Pay or the App Store.

You’ll only be able to use the discount once, and you can find out where your nearest chain is using the McDonald’s restaurant locator.

McDonald’s fans won’t be able to walk in and order the deal, as the chain closed its walk-in takeaway service earlier this month following the third lockdown.

You also won’t be able to eat your burger inside the restaurant either due to Covid restrictions.

Here are six changes Maccies fans should know about when getting their fast food hit.

And here’s what those mystery buttons mean on the drinks lids of your Maccies order.
