MCDONALD’S fans can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 by filling out a quick feedback survey.

Make sure you keep your receipts from the fast food chain as they contain a code that you’ll need to enter on McDonald’s “Food for Thought” website.

Every time you buy food or drink at the fast food restaurant you’ll be given a 12 digit unique code on your receipt.

Visit the Food for Thoughts site to enter this code and fill in a survey about your last meal.

You can tell McDonald’s what you thought of the food and then you’ll be given a five digit code.

Jot this down on the same receipt as your original order and it will become your voucher.

How to find your nearest McDonald’s

MCDONALD’S has just under 1,300 branches across the UK.

Enter your postcode and the webpage will bring up your nearest branches.

Or if you’re using the app, you’ll be asked to enter your postcode to find your local McDonald’s.

You can go into any McDonald’s branch and hand over you receipt (complete with the new code) to get your Big Mac and fries for £1.99.

As a meal, the duo usually costs £4.79, so you can save £2.80 and get it for more than half the price with the rewards offer.

If you don’t fancy a Big Mac you can also chose from a Fillet-O-Fish, or Vegetable Deluxe instead, and swap out the fries for a side salad if you prefer.

Either combination will still only cost £1.99 with the code.

But you’ll need to remember to ask for the receipt in the first place.

There is no minimum you need to spend to get the 12 digit code, so technically you could buy the cheapest thing on the menu and still get the discount.

You can also continue to take advantage of the offer as many times as you want but each code only redeems one Big Mac and fries each time.

The fast food giant also said that the codes can be tracked to avoid fraudulent activity, so you can’t just write five random numbers on your receipt.

To take part in the programme, you must be aged 16 or over.

You have 60 days from receiving a receipt to follow the steps and voice your opinion to get the voucher, after that you can’t claim the deal.

But once you’ve got your code you’ll be issued a new expiration date to use it by.

One TikTok fan shared the very simple trick on his account, claiming it “works every time”.

During the Euros this year the Fast food chain is also offering 25% off the entire menu.

Free cheeseburgers and chicken mayo burgers are up for grabs if you have the right code to claim on your McDonald’s app too.
