The deal is only available to new My McDonald’s app users, which you can download for free via the App Store or Google Play.

You need to enter card details or use Apple Pay, Android Pay or Samsung Pay – the built in digital wallets on phones.

Once you’ve set up your account, head to the deals section of the app where the offer will be.

You don’t have to buy anything else to get the offer.

You’ll have to order through the app to get the deal and then head to your local branch or drive-thru to pick it up.

You can check out where your nearest McDonald’s branch is using the chain’s restaurant locator tool on its website.

The deal is running all day tomorrow and we’ve listed below how much each hot drink usually costs so you know how much you’ll be saving.

Prices vary depending on the branch and the drink, but normally you can expect to pay 99p for a tea or a hot chocolate and £1.49 for a cappuccino or latte.

You can get £5 off your order when you spend £20 or more, and the deal is running all day.

This means you can choose whatever takes your fancy whether that’s a bacon roll to kick start your day, a Happy Meal for the kids, or a chicken legend for a lunchtime treat.

The offers don’t stop there.

This week from the 14th to 20th April, customers can get a whopping 20% off each order.

Again, you’ll need the My McDonald’s app to get the deal.

Head to the deals section where the offer will be – then click on it to order your meal and get the money off.

You’ll be able to eat your meal outside if you want to.

McDonald’s reopened 443 branches for outdoor dining today after Boris Johnson gave the green light for pubs and restaurants to welcome customers back – but only if they’re seated outside.

From May 17, businesses will then be able to welcome punters inside for the first time in months, so you can sit inside at Maccies then.

There’ll be limited seating outdoors at some McDonald’s branches to make sure customers can socially distance.

Customers keen to eat outdoors are being encouraged to order via the McDonald’s app to “minimise congestion” inside restaurants.

Numbers have been added to all of its tables, which you’ll then need to add to your order after you select the “eat in” option on the app.

Staff will then bring your food to the table.
