Both flavours come in 250ml cans and usually cost £1.75 but prices vary at different stores.

To bag the free drink, you need to download the Shopmium App and register.

The app will then give you 100% cashback when you purchase the coffee can from a Sainsbury’s store or the supermarkets online shopping website.

This means that you’ll need to fork out the £1.75 first before you apply for the full refund from Shopmium.

How to cut the cost of your grocery shop

MONEY.CO.UK has shared some top tips with us to help you keep your supermarket spend down to a minimum.

  • Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
  • Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
  • Never shop hungry – You are far more likely to buy  more food if your tummy is rumbling
  • Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
  • Use social media – Follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
  • Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
  • Check the small print –  It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
  • Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards

After buying the drink, you’ll need to take a picture of your receipt and scan the barcode of the product.

The money will then be transferred back into the bank account linked to your Shopmium app.

The freebie offer expires at 11.59pm on Thursday.

You will then have until 11.29pm on Sunday to redeem the cashback.

It’s important to note that the price of the coffee will be subject to variation in different stores and the maximum refund will be up to 20% more than £1.75.

You can also only get cashback on one coffee.

We’ve contacted Shopmium to ask if all stores are participating in the offer and will update this page when we know more.

In other news, Lidl is selling a £20 wine cooler handbag and it’s perfect for summer.

We’ve also explained how to get child’s ticket to Legoland, Chessington or Sealife for £1.
