THE new Batman film premieres this week and its Robert Pattison’s turn to become the iconic Bruce Wayne.

Pattison transformed into the dark superhero temporarily but if you wanted to be Batman in real life you’d need a very large bank balance.

How much is Batman worth?

In most Batman adaptations, Bruce Wayne is the owner of Wayne Enterprises, a company he inherited after the tragic death of his parents.

This makes the fictional character a multi-billionaire and it’s just as well because Wayne’s superhero alter ego has a lot of expensive kit.

Batmobile

It’s currently unclear how much the Batmobile in the new movie is worth.

Pattison’s Batmobile is more retro than previous examples of the comic book car.

Most read in Tech

According to Car Buzz, it looks like a 1960s Chevrolet Camaro with elements of a Ford Mustang and a Dodge Charger.

The car has been heavily adapted so it’s fit for a superhero.

We may not know exactly how much it costs but a rare 1960s Chevrolet Camaro can sell for well over £100,000 (£75,000) and this would be before any modifications.

If you add the cost of superhero modifications you’d be looking at a very hefty price tag that could reach into the millions.

Wayne Manor

Every bat needs a home and when Batman isn’t fighting crime or hanging out with his tech in the Bat cave, he’s at Wayne Manor.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Batman’s home is worth $137 million and has a hefty maintenance cost of $1.6 million per year.

Batsuit

When Ben Affleck was the Batman he claimed his suit cost a staggering $100,000.

He wanted to buy the suit after filming but the price put him off.

According to The Mirror, a real life Batsuit could set you back over $1million.

The price is thought to be in the superhero’s famous cowl were a lot of high tech like night vision and radio communication is located.

Superhero training

Batman is highly skilled at martial arts.

Depending on where you live, professional martial arts training could cost hundreds of dollars a month.

The comics also suggest he has multiple degrees including some in Computer Science, Engineering and Physics.

If he studied in the US, multiple degrees could set Batman back hundreds of thousands of dollars.

There’s also the likes of fire arm training and pilot training, which can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars individually.

Overall, training to be Batman would cost millions of dollars on its own.

Luckily for the superhero, he was trained by the Justice League who, according to the comics, don’t charge a fee.
