FORTNITE is currently out of action for players worldwide as part of scheduled downtime for service maintenance.
The battle royale title warned users ahead of time that there would be maintenance on 16 November, between 9am and 1pm (UTC).
But servers closed slightly early, which tripped some users’ up.
“Since Fortnite shut servers down early, Fortnite should give all of us the rust bucket backpack,” a player wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
While others missed the memo altogether.
Another player tweeted: “Bro why did I get logged out and then after the two mins Fortnite said servers are not working? Like did this happen to you?”

A third said: “WHY ARE FORTNITE SERVERS DOWN WHEN I FINALLY WANNA PLAY.”
Fortnite often tries to schedule downtime for when most of its players will be at school or work.
While it’s frustrating for now, servers should be up and running again at 1pm.
Why is Fortnite down?
The scheduled maintenance comes ahead of update 27.10 and Seasons 7 and 8 launching into Fortnite OG.
