ICELAND shoppers can bag themselves a free tub of Quality Street or Celebrations just in time for Christmas.

However, savvy customers will need to move quickly though as the offer is only available to the first 1,000 people.

To get your hands on the freebie, all you have to do is enter the code FREE-CHOC at the checkout when you place an online delivery from the high street supermarket, according to the hotukdeals website.

If that wasn’t enough of an enticement, Iceland is currently offering £6 off for first time shoppers when they spend £45 or more.

In addition, if you are referred by a pal, that friend also gets £6 off their bill if they spend £60 or more.

Anyone spending £40 or more online gets their delivery free.

However, according to some commentators on the website, the deal might not be quite as good as it first seems.

One person wrote: “Ok if you shop there anyway but not worth buying for the sake of it. By the time you’ve paid for delivery and over £1 for bags it’s not such a marvellous deal.”

While someone else added: “Good offer. However, Quality Street on offer for £3.50 at Farmfoods if this helps anybody.”

A third person said: “This is just applying a £5.50 discount to my basket rather than free chocolate, probably better as since others have pointed out the tubs can be bought for £3.50 lol.”

Although one shopper was suitably impressed, saying: “That’s breakfast, lunch and dinner sorted.”

The freebie comes after Iceland shoppers have been going wild about an “amazing” Christmas dessert made with one of the UK’s favourite chocolate bars.

Iceland is also currently stocking a Gregg’s favourite, just in time for the festive period.

Meanwhile, if you have started to stock up your Christmas cupboard we found a little-known retailer where chocs are up to 50% off.

We also reveal the cheapest places to buy all of your favourite tubs of chocolates.

Also, if you are shopping around for a Cadbury advent calendar we have found the cheapest ones around this week and they cost just £1.35 each.
