FACEBOOK created Messenger – which has over 1.3 billion users – an app made to message people who you’re friends with on the social media platform.

In 2019, Facebook removed the option to use the messaging service without the social media account, but we found you ways to still do so.

How to use Messenger without Facebook

Facebook had the option to simply enter your mobile phone and use the Messenger app.

In 2019, they decided to slack this feature off and required each Messenger user to have a Facebook account.

Luckily, someone found a way to still use Messenger without having to have Facebook.

If you had a Facebook account and deleted, you can simply download Messenger from your Apple or Google store, use your old Facebook details to log in and start using the service.

You do not have to open up your Facebook account again but people who you were friends with might be able to contact you.

To add other contacts, just add a person’s mobile phone and you’re good to go.

If you’ve never had a Facebook account, you can easily create an empty profile, deactivate it and get on with using Messenger.
