STAR homemakers Dick and Angel Strawbridge have leading roles in Homebase Xmas ad “It’s Showtime”
Homebase has released its glitzy, humorous Christmas ad for 2021 which turns Dick Strawbridge into Santa.

Angel Strawbridge is Mrs Claus in the cheeky clip, which nods to hit Channel 4 reality show Escape to the Chateau.
Christmas is always a huge affair for Homebase, which sells thousands of trees, decorations and outdoor heaters each winter.
And the new ad cleverly pushed the store’s popular seasonal products with a bit of humour – and a couple of gorgeous reindeer.
In the quirky ad Dick and Angel set up their own Santa’s Grotto inside a Homebase using only tools and decorations available in-store.
A couple of stunned workers then arrive, impressed by the bizarre scene.
Homebase follows a host of high street rivals with their latest ad.
Though it’s not as star-studded as efforts by Sports Direct or M&S, which between them feature the likes of Tom Holland, Mason Mount, Jack Grealish and Dawn French.
You can guess who starred in which.
Other impressive festive ad efforts include Tesco’s, which includes Santa showing his Covid passport to get into the country.
Then there’s Gap, whose ad stars Katy Perry singing All You Need is Love to a crowd of Christmas-ready revellers.
And unsurprisingly impressive work by John Lewis, which follows an alien experiencing Christmas for the first time.
