THERE is a lesser-known high street store where you can get big brands such as Heinz and Cadbury for just £1.
One Beyond is an independent discounter that launched in 2019 and is just about to open its 100th UK store.

Big brand names such as Coca-Cola, Pedigree, Heinz, Kellogg’s and Cadbury’s can be found on the shelves at bargain prices.
You can find everything from beauty and personal care, cleaning, toys and tech accessories, to home and pet supplies.
The brand was founded in 2019 by Chris Edwards, former trading director at Poundworld Retail Ltd.
Its milestone store will open in Kings Lynn in Norfolk on Friday, July 7.
You can view some of the offers on the One Beyond website, although you cannot buy online.
There is a store locator tool on the website where you can either put in your postcode or use the interactive map to find your local one.
At the time of checking the website they had packs of Pringles and a pack of four Panasonic batteries for £1.
They also had packets of Milky Way chocolate and Galaxy Ripple for £1.50, and also summer toys including a kids paddling pool for £5 and summer fans at £3 each.

Unlike other retailers who list many items on their website, this one just gives a snippet of what you can expect when you visit a high street store.
We price-checked online with other retailers to see just how much of a saving can be had by shopping at One Beyond.
Sainsbury’s supermarket was selling the same size Pringles (40g) for £1.05, so slightly more expensive than One Beyond.
Asda and Tesco both have the same size (40g) Pringles for 90p.
The cheapest price we found on the Panasonic batteries was £1.99 online at Battery Station.
Wilko had a pack of their own brand batteries at £2, so it does seem like One Beyond is the cheapest around at the moment on this item.
We checked Poundland for the chocolate bars and while we could not find any Milky Way, they did also have the same pack of Galaxy Ripple for the same price of £1.50.
And when we did a review of summer fans we found one in Wilko for just £1.60, which had great reviews, so that is a cheaper deal than the £3 one advertised on the One Beyond website.
Lots of retailers have offers on paddling pools at the moment, and B&Q had a similar one to One Beyond online which was also priced at £5.
So it shows that it pays to shop around to make sure that you are getting the best deal.
One Beyond stores are located up and down the UK including locations in Scotland, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and across the South East.
The retailer has plans to open a further 20 stores by the end of 2023, so if yours isn’t on the list at the moment, maybe one could be coming to a town near you very soon.

One Beyond is not the only bargain retailer that not a lot of people are familiar with.
There is another little-known shop where you can get popular brands for as little as 95p.
Other ways to save money on your shopping
It is always worth shopping around to get the best deals and there are other ways you can save money on your shopping.
Too Good to Go is an app that allows you to rescue end-of-day food from many popular cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets that would otherwise go in the bin.
All you need to do is download and set your location on the Too Good To Go app and you can choose from nearby stores listing their unsold food at a reduced price.
Similar to Too Good To Go, you can search for nearby food to pick up based on your location through the Karma app.
You can then purchase meals at discounted prices.
However, unlike Too Good To Go, Karma will tell you what food you are getting, so there is even less chance of it going to waste.
No Waste is an excellent way to get organised, as you can scan your food and list it by expiry date, name or category.
It makes it easier to see what you are running out of, so you don’t double up on items in your next shop.
Lists can be shared with family so you can give away unwanted food plus you can track how much you are wasting by deleting items you have eaten or that have expired.
How else can I save on my supermarket shop?
You can also try looking out for yellow or red stickers on products that show when they’ve been reduced.
If the food is fresh you’ll have to eat it fast, or freeze it to have another time.
Sometimes even timing your shop to stock up just as items are discounted on the shelves can help you get the best bargains – lots of shoppers have said this is in the evening typically.
Making a list could save you some money too as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.
As we previously mentioned going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills.
That means going for “own” or “value” type products instead of “finest” or “luxury” lines.
Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes as well where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.
