Shoppers have been hammered by rising inflation, which is currently at 10.1% – and is now back to a 40-year high.

But there are still bargains to be found on supermarket shelves.

B&M is currently selling a Cadbury Selection Pack for just 99p, after slashing its price by 16%.

The 89g pack includes five Cadbury classics – the Curly Wurly, Chomp, Freddo, Fudge and Buttons.

Tesco is selling the same pack for £1.50, while Poundland charges £1.25.

But Asda and Morrisons both offer the bar for £1, just a penny more than B&M.

The pack comes with a voucher for Merlin attractions including Legoland, Madame Tussauds and the London Aquarium.

Many stores are getting ahead of the game when it comes to Christmas this year.

Most supermarkets have already announced when shoppers will be able to bag themselves a Christmas delivery slot.

And there are also dozens of festive promotions appearing on shelves.

The Sun has recently revealed the cheapest place to buy Baileys this year.

But if you want to save yourself even more, Asda has launched two new Irish cream flavours as part of its Christmas range.
