That’s because the fashion retailer is actually moving to an even bigger space within the mall.

The move will double the store’s offering from a 18,000 square foot site to a new one spanning 43,000 square feet across two floors.

Posting on Facebook shopping centre staff wrote: “Excited to announce that Zara will be upsizing to a new location in Atria bringing you double the Zara range of clothes and goods!

“Opening in 2024, it will increase the exciting new fashion offer following the recent opening of TK Maxx.”

The new store is set to open in early 2024, suggesting the current shop will close its doors before then, but no exact dates have been given.

It will stock clothes from across all of Zara’s ranges including womenswear, mens and children.

The Spanish-owned retailer, which has around 60 stores in the UK, is said to have signed a 15-year lease on the site.

The Sun has contacted Zara for comment on the relocation.

Zara isn’t the only high street chain upsizing and opening new shops.

Poundland has confirmed that it will reopen 19 more Wilko stores within days following huge new expansion plans.

The retailer has confirmed the exact locations of 75 new shops set to open by Christmas, with many popping up in former Wilko shops.

B&M is also closing another shop in weeks but shoppers have been promised “bigger and better”.

The bargain retailer is closing its store in Westmorland Retail Park, Cramlington on Saturday, November 4.

However, the closure forms part of the chain’s relocation plans as it is set to open a bigger replacement store just down the road.

Not only that but a new discount store opened its doors last week – and it hopes to give B&M and Poundland a run for their money.

Value retail store The Quality Discounts group unveiled its latest store in Rayleigh, Essex on October 25.

It’s not just stores either, Lounge is set to add seven new locations to its portfolio of more than 200 restaurants around the UK over the next few months, The Sun has learned.

It comes following a difficult time for the hight street, with many retailers and brands closing branches instead of opening new ones.

New Look recently pulled down the shutters on one of its sites last week, following a wave of other closures.

One British town was dealt a “huge blow” as a Cineworld branch has announced it’s closing.

Boots is set to close several more stores this month as part of its plan to shut 300 shops over the next year.

Clarks has confirmed it’ll shut its store located in Newport Retail Park in Spytty for good in November.
