iPhone has two tricks to help you snap photos without using your hands

One of these tricks is a voice-activated tool that lets you take photos with your phone without having to use your hands.

This trick can come in handy in a number of scenarios, such as taking a group photo without a cameraman or taking images of yourself from a distance.

We detail the procedure below.

How to snap photos using your voice

If you want to take photos on your iPhone with your voice, you are first required to download the ‘Shortcuts’ app – please note some iPhones already have this app installed.

Once you have ‘Shortcuts’ on your device, you’re going to open it up and click on the gallery icon (located on the bottom right).

Next, type ‘Say Cheese’ into the search bar until you a see tile card with the same name pop up on your display.

Once you identify the tile card, tap on ‘Add Shortcut.’

Now all you have to do is say “Hey Siri, say cheese’ to enable your iPhone to take a photo with the rear camera.

All images taken with this shortcut will also automatically get saved to your photo library.

The Apple Watch method

There is also a second hands-free method to snap images on your smartphone that is not voice-activated, but still very simple.

This method requires you to have an Apple Watch.

The first step is to head to your Apple Watch and open up the Camera Remote app.

Then you will want to position your iPhone so that it’s ready to take the image you want.

Once everything is good to go, all you need to do is click on the ‘Shutter’ button on your Apple Watch and after three seconds, your iPhone should take a photo.
