Nearly 13,000 readers have donated to charities supporting young people, with two days to go

As it enters its final weekend, the Guardian and Observer charity appeal 2020 has so far raised almost £1,250,000 for three charities working to support young people in communities badly-hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

With two full days still to go, nearly 13,000 readers have donated to the appeal since it launched in December. The funds raised will be shared among the charities UK Youth, YoungMinds and Child Poverty Action Group.
