GREGGS customers will be keen to know whether the bakery chain’s branches are open over Christmas and New Year.
Shops, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes sometimes change their opening times on public holidays to give staff time off to rest.

But what about Greggs? The bakery chain has around 2,000 locations across the country and many already have different opening hours.
For example, branches in train and bus stations are often open early in the morning – some as early as 5.30am.
Some also stay open late into the evening until 11pm, while a handful of locations never close their doors and are open 24 hours a day.
But of course, during holiday periods, like bank holidays, that can change.

Greggs opening times will vary across the country over the festive period.
For this reason, you should check your local branch’s opening hours to save a wasted trip.
You can do this by using the Greggs store locator found on its website.

But all branches of Greggs will be closed on Christmas Day.
Some branches will stick to their usual opening times between Christmas and New Year, while others will be closed completely.
Are other shops open over Christmas and New Year?
Opening hours for other retailers can vary from store to store, so you should always check ahead.
Most have their own store locators that show you your nearest branch and its opening hours.
Aldi said its stores in across the UK will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
However, it’s important to note that the usual hours of 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday’s will vary from store to store and regions.
