One Cuthbert the Caterpillar was advertised for £255 — nearly 30 times its retail value.

Mum-of-two Ria Jones, 39, found the shelves stripped bare on the day the toy went on sale.

After seeing the sky-high prices online, the teacher, from Bury St Edmunds, said: “There’s a special place in hell for people who do this.

“The people that do genuinely want this toy are losing out.

“I understand people are trying to make some money during a cost of living crisis but there are people who genuinely want to play with this toy and aren’t being given the chance.”
