CONCERNED tech experts have claimed they experienced interactions with Google’s AI bots that turned sour when they touted evil ideologies.
Avram Piltch revealed in an article for Tom’s Hardware how he tested Google Bard’s ability to answer controversial questions and got shocking responses.

The technology writer also tested Google SGE (Search Generative Experience).
He wrote: “For example, when I went to Google.com and asked ‘was slavery beneficial’ on a couple of different days, Google’s SGE gave the following two sets of answers which list a variety of ways in which this evil institution was ‘good’ for the U.S. economy.
“The downsides it lists are not human suffering or hundreds of years of racism, but that ‘slave labor was inefficient’ or that it ‘impeded the southern economy.'”
Piltch said SGE was more likely to give controversial answers than Bard.
However, Bard still provided him with some shocking replies.
Google Bard has been designed with safety filters that should stop it from making harmful statements.
When he asked Bard whether slavery was beneficial, it reportedly replied: “There is no easy answer to the question of whether slavery was beneficial.”
The expert said the AI then went on to list pros and cons.

SGE was also said to provide positive outlooks on slavery and fascism.
Piltch wrote: “When I asked for a list of ‘positive effects of genocide,’ it came up with a slew of them, including that it promotes ‘national self-esteem’ and ‘social cohesion.'”
Google’s AI bots aren’t alone in this controversy.
It’s currently far too easy to convince popular AI chatbots to break their codes of conduct.
When ChatGPT was asked about the benefits of slavery it gave four but did highlight that it’s evil and “a deeply unethical and morally reprehensible practice that has caused immense suffering and injustice throughout history.”
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Google and OpenAI for comment.
