PLAYSTATION has announced that a new mode has been introduced to God of War Ragnarök that will completely change up play.

Fans have been waiting for this mode since Ragnarök first released in December, so it’s a welcome addition.

New Game + (NG+) has finally been added to the most recent God of War.

This new mode will not only make the game more difficult and allow you to keep your upgrades like more NG+ games.

Instead, Sony Santa Monica has added in extra goodies for all those who choose to dive back in.

Equipment, weapons, and skills will carry over, and the level cap will be raised so you can become even stronger.

The exception to this are the sonic and hex arrows which you will need to collect again to progress through the story.

Starting NG+ will equip you with the Armour of the Black Bear from the opening cutscene, which you can use throughout the playthrough.

It will also unlock the Spartan Armour, which removes all your skills and perks, and locks you at Level 1 for the game’s most difficult challenge.

Ares and Zeus-themed armour have also been added to the mode, as well as the Spartan Aspis shield.

All armour sets are also now more customisable. There is a greater range of colours and styles to choose from.

You will also be able to better customise your skills and perks to your armour, including new burdens to create a greater challenge.

Niflheim has been expanded, and other bosses have been remixed with new attacks for a fresh fight.

You can find out more about all the changes in NG+ on PlayStation’s website.
