THE hot weather could come in handy for your latest low-budget craft project.
Dried flowers are a big interiors trend with more than 2.5million tags on Instagram.
Today Aldi launches its dried floral bouquet bargain letterbox service.
But there are other ways to get your new floral fix . . .
BUNCH OF FUN: It’s quite simple to make your own bouquet of dried flowers.
Strip excess leaves and foilage, bind a few together with string and air dry by hanging them upside down in bunches.
It’s best to hang them in a cool, dark place, such as a loft, for two or three weeks. Place bunches evenly apart for good ventilation.
MATCH MAKER: Colour your bouquet to match your interiors with fabric dye.
A Dylon handwash fabric dye sachet is £3 for 50g but pick up two packs for £5 at Hobbycraft. Add to a bowl of hot water and dip a dried flower into the liquid for a few seconds, then remove and leave to dry. Try dipping the odd flower in to create a two-tone bunch.
AWESOME ARRANGEMENT: Arrange in a beautiful vase to upgrade your bouquet from discount to designer.
