Today Aldi launches its dried floral bouquet bargain letterbox service.

But there are other ways to get your new floral fix . . .

BUNCH OF FUN: It’s quite simple to make your own bouquet of dried flowers.

Strip excess leaves and foilage, bind a few together with string and air dry by hanging them upside down in bunches.

It’s best to hang them in a cool, dark place, such as a loft, for two or three weeks. Place bunches evenly apart for good ventilation.

MATCH MAKER: Colour your bouquet to match your interiors with fabric dye.

A Dylon handwash fabric dye sachet is £3 for 50g but pick up two packs for £5 at Hobbycraft. Add to a bowl of hot water and dip a dried flower into the liquid for a few seconds, then remove and leave to dry. Try dipping the odd flower in to create a two-tone bunch.

AWESOME ARRANGEMENT: Arrange in a beautiful vase to upgrade your bouquet from discount to designer.

DESIGNER DEAL: Want something more professional looking? Florist bloomandwild.com is well-known for extravagant designs. The cheapest is The Hattie bouquet for £36, but there’s 18 per cent cashback if you buy at TopCashback.co.uk/bloom-and-wild.

Another designer-inspired buy is Aldi.co.uk’s Specially Selected dried flowers, £29.99, or nab its pink bouquet, also £29.99.

SERIOUS SAVER: If you’re on a really tight budget, try Asda’s letterbox bouquet at £10 (+£2.95 delivery).

Dunelm also sells a similar pink 55cm bouquet for £10. Or head to Primark, who sell a small, rustic spray of flowers for £4.
