SHOPPERS are going wild for two new Walkers crisp flavours after they were spotted on supermarket shelves.

The brand has launched different flavours of its crisps before – Pigs in Blankets, Christmas Pudding, and vegan versions of their classics – but this release promises an extraordinary experience.

Walkers has finally unveiled their mature cheddar and chilli chutney flavoured potato crisps – a reimagined twist on their fan favourite cheese and onion flavoured crisps.

And it’s hitting the shelves with a bougie crushed sea salt and black peppercorn flavour that fans are going wild for.

Both are newly conceptualised fusions that add an elevated layer of class to otherwise ordinary ingredients.

Senior marketing director of Walkers Wayne Newton said: “We know that consumers continue to look for premium products to treat themselves with, despite the current economic challenges.

“With the launch of these new products, we wanted to tap into those classic favourite flavours of cheese and salt and add in a bit of a modern twist through the addition of chilli chutney and black peppercorn to offer something a little different.

“Not only will this allow us to recruit a wider demographic to the brand, but our NPD will also support retailers in maximising sales around sharing occasions, offering well-loved flavours that are sure to be a hit with shoppers.”

Priced at just £1 per 40g bag, or £2.50 for a 150g bag, these crisps are an absolute steal.

And plenty of happy customers have been gushing with joy since they were released.

One eagle-eyed customer was quick to share the find on the Facebook group Ultimate Food & Snack Finds UK.

The post has since amassed hundreds of likes, and dozens of comments from eager Walkers fans.

B&M shoppers rush to buy ‘crazy’ flavour Walkers scanning for 10p before they disappear for good

One user wrote: “Love sea salt or cracked pepper just to get the taste buds going”

Another said: “Love the cheddar cheese one love them eat a whole pack if not careful.”

While a third added: “The cheddar and chilli chutney are banging.”

This isn’t the first time that customers have gone crazy for the release of new Walkers flavours.

Earlier this year, Walkers released three new vegan limited edition flavours to help crisp lovers get through Veganuary.

Shoppers can now get Vegan Flame Grilled Steak, Vegan BBQ Pork Ribs, and Vegan Grilled Cheese Toastie flavoured crisps in supermarkets.

All three new unbelievable vegan flavours will be sold in multipacks in stores.

Although, the news also comes just weeks after Walkers axed one of their more controversial flavours.

Walkers has begrudgingly confirmed that its Marmite flavour has been discontinued.

A Walkers spokesperson previously told the Sun that by discontinuing the flavour they hope to pave the way for new flavours in the future.

They said: “We are very sorry to disappoint fans of Marmite flavour Walkers crisps with this news.”

“We know many crisp lovers will hate to see this Walkers’ flavour go.”

“This change will enable us to focus our efforts on making more of the flavours crisp fans love the most.”

More often that not, a flavour is discontinued due to poor sales, but in this case it does seem as though Walkers had to make space to unveil new flavours.
