LOOKING forward to making the most of the warmer weather?

This summer, we can finally get everyone together by having friends and family over for BBQ’s and gatherings – so it’s definitely time to get that garden ‘party ready’.

If you need inspiration, a personalised outdoor sign will look great at your garden gathering and can easily be made using items from the great range available at wilko.

They’re simple to make and you can personalise them however you like – here’s how…

You will need:

  • Galvanised wire
  • Artificial foliage
  • Glue gun
  • Wire cutter
  • Scissors
  • Paper
  • Pen

Step 1

You can mould your wire into any word you like

First of all, draw out your desired wording on a piece of paper using a marker pen. This will act as your guide for shaping your structure.

You can then place some wire on top of the paper, following the pattern of your drawn word, before using pliers to bend the structure into shape.

Once shaped, complete this step by cutting off any excess wire.

Step 2

Glue your fake foliage onto your wire design

Then, using a glue gun, you can begin attaching some fake foliage to your metal structure.

For an extra pop of colour, once you’ve covered the wording in the foliage, you can get creative by adding a few artificial flowers.
