Amazon is offering four months of Audible for FREE to Prime members

Audible usually costs £7.99 after a 30-day trial period, but Amazon has tripled that for standard customers and quadrupled it for Prime members.

This deal launched yesterday and is running throughout the 48-hour duration of Prime Day.

If you’re new to the world of audiobooks, this is a serious chunk of time to download and listen to a few without paying a single penny.

Amazon’s ‘Prime Early Access Sale’ is essentially a repeat of the Prime Day sale that we last saw back in July: a huge sitewide event that sees prices dropped across thousands upon thousands of products.

Dropped, that is, if you’re a Prime member – so if you’re not this is a great time to sign up (even if it’s just to make the most of that 30-day free trial).

Audible isn’t the only one of Amazon’s pay-monthly services that is on offer right now: you can also get three months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free.

On top of that, the retailer rolled out a wave of device deals across pretty much every last one of its Echos, Kindles, Fire Sticks, Fire tablets, Blink cameras and Ring doorbells.

It’s certainly a bold move for Amazon to launch such a huge sale little over a month before the Black Friday madness kicks off.

It makes us wonder whether the deals we see over the coming days will be improved upon by the time Black Friday comes around at the end of November (Amazon declined to confirm or deny when we asked).

Our advice is this: if you’re interested in Audible or any of Amazon’s own products and services, don’t assume these deals will get any better, since we’re already seeing savings run as high as 60% on certain devices.
