GENSHIN Impact’s 3.0 update is coming this week, with the new region, banners, element, and a whole load of new content.
If you want to find out more about how the changes will affect the gameplay, then check out our guide below.
What are Elemental Resonances in Genshin Impact 3.0?
The introduction of the Dendro element has made some big changes to the gameplay, as many of the Elemental Resonances have been changed.
Two characters of the same element, or four characters of different elements in a party will create an Elemental Resonance.
This will give the whole party passive bonuses throughout the fight, and is based on the types of elements involved.
The Dendro Resonance gives the opportunity to boost your party’s Elemental Mastery by 80 points so it’s worthwhile building your team this way.
Have Hu Tao and Yelan been buffed in Genshin Impact?
The added Elemental Resonance has meant there are adjustments for existing Resonances.
Hydro Resonance still nerfs the effects of Pyro damage, but no longer boosts healing abilities.

However, it will give a 25% boost to your characters maximum health during battle.
This is powerful for many characters who have HP based abilities, such as Hu Tao and, in particular, Yelan, who is a Hydro based fighter.
Hu Tao does far more damage below half-health, so having this extra boost in hit points is very beneficial to her.
A smaller change is one to Electro Resonance. With Dendro added into the mix, Electro reactions can now create Dendro particles.
The Genshin Impact 3.0 update launches on August 24 and will bring three new characters to the open-world RPG.
