Gamers rush to grab series best Pokémon coming for the first time to Scarlet & Violet

POKÉMON has just announced a new seven-star Tera raid for Scarlet & Violet, but it will be the toughest yet.

The strongest Pokémon ever made is entering the team, and it will be more difficult than other battles.

Mewtwo will come to Scarlet & Violet, in one of the toughest showdowns to date.

Here is everything we know about the seven-star Mewtwo Tera raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

What is Mewtwo’s set? – Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera raids

Not only does Mewtwo have an astonishing 154 base Special Attack stat but it also has one of the widest move pools in the game.

There is no real weakness in its defences either, with good bulk on both the special and physical side.

Not only this but its signature move Psystrike targets both your Pokémon’s Physical Defence meaning that you will have to counter with bulk on both sides.

Aura Sphere is a likely move to counter Dark types, while Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball can counter Ghost types.

While Unnerve will likely not matter here, it’s important to note that berries such as Sitrus won’t work here.

Mewtwo the Unrivalled – Level 100

• Ability – Unnerve
• Item – None
• Tera type – Psychic
• Moveset – Psychic, Psystrike, Aura Sphere, Calm Mind, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball

What Pokémon can counter Mewtwo? – Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera raids

As a Psychic-type Pokémon, Dark-, Bug- and Ghost-type moves can counter its incredible strength.

You will also need good bulk on both sides and some way to boost your stats to take it down in the time limit.

Mew

Luckily, the recent distribution event has given us the best Mewtwo counter, though it will need some time investment in order to make it work.

Datamines reveal that Mew gains a double omniboost when it enters battle with Mewtwo, meaning it can double every stat when it enters battle.

As a Mythical Pokémon it also boasts decent stats, and Snarl, Nasty Plot, Amnesia and Acid Spray, can all boost your stats and lower Mewtwo’s.

Dark Pulse is your best move in this scenario, though still expect a number of hits in order to take it down.

• Item – Shell Bell
• Tera type – Dark
• Moveset – Snarl, Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot, Acid Spray

Umbreon

Umbreon is best known for its bulk, with a Special Defence stat that almost matches Mewtwo’s monstrous Special Attack.

Snarl will help you keep your team healthy, and Mud-Slap ensures that Mewtwo misses its moves.

Taunt can also be helpful if Mewtwo tries to set up Calm Mind, while Foul Play uses Mewtwo’s attack against it.

We have also added Helping Hand here in case you want to use this supportive ‘mon to help further boost another Pokémon’s damage.

Umbreon – Level 100

• Nature – Calm
• Ability – Synchronize
• Item – Shell Bell
• Tera type – Dark
• Moveset – Snarl, Mud-Slap, Taunt, Foul Play, (Helping Hand) 

Goodra

Goodra is just a good defensive Pokémon, and bonus points if you have access to the Hisuian form with Shell Armor to stop critical hits.

This set is a support set, with Rain Dance to boost Muddy Water, and to help with healing via its ability Hydration.

Acid Spray will reduce its defences for others to step in, while Tera Blast will help Goodra go on the offence once terastylized.

Goodra – Level 100

• Nature – Calm
• Ability – Hydration
• Item – Shell Bell
• Tera type – Dark
• Moveset – Acid Spray, Muddy Water, Rain Dance, Tera Blast
