XBOX recently made a statement that fans went wild for, but appears that it won’t be happening.
The announcement was made by Xbox’s chief financial officer, but the CEO has now clarified the matter.

Tim Stuart revealed that the company had plans to bring Xbox Game Pass to PlayStation and Nintendo.
He said of the Xbox Game Pass expansion: “That means smart TVs, that means mobile devices, that means what we would have thought of as competitors in the past like PlayStation and Nintendo.”
However, Phil Spencer has clarified this statement saying that Xbox has no plans to expand Game Pass to PlayStation and Nintendo.
A new interview with Phil Spencer conducted by Windows Central has clarified Xbox’s position on the expansion.

Spencer said: “I’ll start by saying we have no plans to bring Game Pass to PlayStation or Nintendo. It’s not in our plans.
“But I think you hit on the right point of ‘what it means to own an Xbox.’ The thing I want to be focused on is how do we continue to innovate for people who’ve made the commitment to our hardware platform?
“And how do we continue to make sure that they feel great about their investment in what we’ve built.”
So it seems that Spencer wants gamers to focus on the Xbox consoles, and hopes to use Game Pass to help drive people to purchase one.

He continues: “Game Pass was one of the things you know that over the last five years we built, and we continue to grow, it’s on PC, it’s on cloud.
“It’s an important part of the Xbox console identity. And I think it will continue to be that. And we will continue to look at future ways for us to innovate across our game portfolio and our platform.”
If you want to see it on other platforms, Xbox revealed that Game Pass might expand to mobile.
