MOST of the best online games either require you to pay a subscription or charge a full price and then release paid updates, so playing them can be a costly affair.

One of the most popular games is no exception, but there’s a way to play it completely free right now.

The Elder Scrolls Online is hosting a Free Play Event across all platforms on which the game is available.

No matter if you’re on PC via Steam or Epic Games, Mac, Xbox or PlayStation consoles, or Nintendo Switch, you can play absolutely free this week.

The free event started on April 2 and will continue until April 9, 2024, so fans of The Elder Scrolls series who are new to the online MMORPG still have time to jump in.

The Elder Scrolls Online is part of the same series and set in the same world as popular RPGs Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind.

Instead of a single-player story, though, ESO offers players the true MMO experience in Tamriel, and has been hugely popular since its April 4, 2014 launch.

Over the last decade, The Elder Scrolls Online has received numerous content updates and expansions, and has amassed a loyal fanbase.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, publisher Bethesda has prepared new content, events, and updates, including a new chapter, Gold Road, due to launch in June.

In order to play The Elder Scrolls Online for free during this week’s event, you just have to download and install the game on your preferred platform.
