FURIOUS parents are still waiting for a refund for their Kinder Eggs after the company’s food poisoning scandal ruined their Easters.
Angry customers have been hitting owners Ferrero with complaints as they have still not received their money back two months on from the salmonella scare.
Of the few who have been contacted, some have slammed the confectionary giant for palming them off with vouchers worth less than the eggs they had paid for.
One furious gran even claims she received a measly £1 in return for three giant Kinder Surprise eggs, two packs of Kinder Friends treats and a bag of Kinder Mini eggs.
Contacting Ferrero on Twitter, she shared a photo of her paltry voucher and asked: “Seriously?!”
But the chocolate giant has not replied.
Ferrero first issued an urgent recall for some of its products – including its famous Kinder Surprise! eggs – at the start of April.
Customers were warned not to eat any they had bought due to possible traces of Salmonella.
Within weeks, the World Health Organisation had confirmed more than 150 cases of the bug had been linked to Kinder treats.
Most of these were young children, who experienced vomiting, diarrhoea and high fevers.

More than 20 of those struck down ended up in hospital.
Chocolate fans who had purchased the recalled products were told to take photographs of them and email customer service.
They were then promised a refund in the form of vouchers within 28 days.
But the company has been inundated with complaints from people who have not received a penny.
One raged on Twitter: “Why am I still awaiting a refund or resolution for several products I had to dispose of following the recall in April despite my children suffering sickness/vomiting after eating Kinder. This seems of little concern to your company?”
Another said: “I requested a refund for three recalled Kinder eggs two months ago, and still haven’t received it. And you’ve stopped responding to my emails. This is disgraceful customer service.”
One angry mum even tweeted: “After the whole kinder egg issue with the salmonella, now they want doctors’ evidence that my child was ill! What about returning my money that I spent on kinder eggs? What a disgrace!”
Ferrero has been contacted for comment.
Morrisons recently had to recall chicken products over fears they may contain glass.
And Co-op shoppers were warned not to eat certain tins of tuna over fears they contain shards of metal.
