Retailers often open up their online booking slots at different times so you’ll want to take a note of when.

Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and M&S have already announced when theirs will be opening.

We have approached Aldi and Iceland to find out when theirs will be too and will update this story when we’ve heard back.

Iceland

Iceland is yet to reveal whether it is releasing delivery slots this year, and it didn’t respond to a request about slots last year.

But, in 2021, the retailer did launch hundreds of thousands of slots two weeks before Christmas.

The frozen food specialist had all deliveries dropped off before Christmas Day.

Aldi

Aldi also did not respond to a request for comment this year, or last, about slots.

But it did launch click and collect slots for customers in November 2021.

Shoppers could book a slot on the retailer’s website and pick up their shopping up in a one-hour collection window between December 19 and December 23.

Asda

Asda has revealed when you can book your Christmas delivery slots this year – and it’s earlier than ever before.

Customers with a delivery pass will be able to book in a time from October 3 via Asda.com or the app.

Shoppers can also book in a click-and-collect slot.

Anyone without a delivery pass will have to wait until October 10 to lock in a slot, although this is still two weeks earlier than last year.

Meanwhile, anyone looking to book in a delivery for arrival on Christmas Eve will have to wait until December 20.

Customers will be able to pre-order turkeys when the first delivery slots open, with last orders being taken on December 14.

Asda’s delivery passes can be snapped up from £3.50 a month.

Morrisons

Morrisons is also taking bookings from this month, with delivery pass customers able to lock in a slot from October 18.

Customers without a pass will then be able to book in a slot from later on in the month.

But they will be charged between £1.50 to £6 to secure a one-hour time slot.

Shoppers looking to pick up a delivery pass can buy them from £5 via the Morrisons website.

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s customers will be able to book in a slot from October 16, if they have a delivery pass.

Any shoppers without one will have to wait until October 23.

Those ordering for click and collect will have to wait until November 20 to book in.

Sainsbury’s delivery passes start from £4 a month and can be bought on the retailer’s website.

Tesco

Tesco delivery plan and click and collect delivery plan customers can book in their slots from November 7 this year, compared to November 15 in 2022.

Meanwhile, slots for all other customers will open on November 21, one day earlier than last year.

Tesco delivery plans start from £2.50 a month and range up to £8 a month depending on what level of service you want.

You can buy the plans on the retailer’s website.

M&S

M&S has already opened click and collect slots through its Food to Order service.

You just have to book a slot, add your shopping to the basket then can collect in-store between December 22 and 24.

The service is open until December 11 but there’s limited slots so you should get your order in as soon as possible.

Ocado, which delivers for M&S, has also opened up delivery slots and existing customers will be emailed or texted when they become available to book.

In 2022, it opened up slots to Smart Pass customers first, but it’s not clear if it will do the same this year.

You can pick up a Smart Pass from just £4 a month.

It comes after a number of supermarket’s revealed their Christmas menus ahead of the festive period.
