EASTER half-term can be a stressful time for low-income families – but you can get free or cheap food at a number of supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.

M&S, Asda, Morrisons and Beefeater are all offering customers extra help for those with kids until mid-April.

We’ve put together a list of all the locations you can pick up discounted or free grub.

Asda

Kids under 16 can get a £1 meal deal at one of Asda’s cafes until the end of the Easter break.

The retailer has recently added two new hot meals to its menu too, including penne pasta with meatballs and hidden veg pasta across 205 branches.

Plus, children can get a free piece of fruit such as an apple, pear or banana with the £1 meal.

You can find your nearest Asda café using the supermarket’s online store checker.

M&S

Marks and Spencer customers can get a free kids meal worth £4, but you’ll have to spend £5 or more on an adult meal first.

The offer was launched on April 3 and is running until April 14.

Shoppers can grab a free meal every day of the week, however in Scotland the offer is only available Monday to Friday.

The free kids meal includes a main, snack and drink. You can pick from hot items such as jacket potatoes and pasta, as well as cold food.

Morrisons

Families can pick up a free breakfast over Easter at Morrisons until April 24.

The offer is being run in partnership with Kellogg’s and across all of the supermarket’s 397 cafes.

Kids can pick from Cornflakes, Rice Krispies and Coco Pops and choose between dairy and non-dairy milk.

But the freebie is only on offer until 11am each morning and it’s while stocks last.

It’s not just kids who can get the free cereal either – every member of the family can claim a bowl.

Bella Italia

Children can get a meal for £1 – so long as you buy an adult meal with it – from 4-6pm every Monday to Thursday.

The offer is only available for kids aged between two and 11 though.

The meal is made up of three courses and a drink, so it’s definitely worth checking out.

Without the deal, kids meals start from £6.49, so you’re saving at least £5.49.

Beefeater

Kids under 16 can get a free breakfast at any Beefeater restaurant over the Easter half term.

But, you have to buy one adult meal per two free kids’ meals.

The chain runs over 140 restaurants, so there should be one near you.

Yo! Sushi

Yo! Sushi is running a kids-go-free offer until April 14, Monday to Friday.

Kids under 12 can get a free meal deal bento box for every adult purchase worth £10 or more.

It’s worth noting, the offer is only available at dine-in UK Yo! Sushi restaurants.

So, you won’t be able to take it up at Heathrow Airport, Manchester Piccadilly Station, St Pancras Station or London Luton Airport or the Yo! Sushi in Bath.

Toby Carvery

Kids can get a £1 meal between April 11 and April 14, so long as an adult buys one too.

You’ll need the Toby Carvery app and to download and save a voucher to show to a staff member.

The voucher entitles you to one children’s main meal, carvery or breakfast but excludes drinks or dessert.

Meanwhile, the offer is only valid for children under 10 and you can only get a maximum of four free meals per group of people.
