ART can turn a house into a home — and it doesn’t need to be pricey.
If you have got a bare wall or want to inject some character into your living space, here are ways to create a masterpiece, or two, on a budget.

PICTURE PERFECT: Almost anything that fits can be framed.
Cutting and framing a piece of wallpaper is a cheaper alternative to covering an entire wall.
Dunelm’s Tropical Navy Maui wallpaper, £6.30 a roll, looks fab in a gold frame.
Found some wrapping paper that is too nice to tear? Frame it instead.
For example, Emma Bridgewater wrapping paper is £3 on the brand’s site, simply cut it to size.
Greeting cards are perfect for framing and can have sentimental value.
Buy a postcard on your next holiday or look back through old cards.

PRINTS CHARMING: Museum giftshops are a great place to pick up cool prints.
The V&A online has prints starting from £5, including a poster for a Beatrix Potter exhibition.
There are online sites offering prints too.
Fy has regular sales and promotions on products from hundreds of illustrators and artists.
And Affordableart.com has original prints.
YOU’VE BEEN FRAMED: Once you have found your piece of art, head to Wilko for a large selection of frames starting from £1.50.
Buy two or three similar frames to create a feature look.
Charity shops are also a great place to find frames.
