IT’S National Unicorn Day (yes, really) so get hot to trot in the kitchen.
The annual celebration of the mythical creature gives you free rein to get creative so here are some recipes the kids will love.
FLYING COLOURS: Gather white chocolate chips or melting wafers, any rainbow-like food colouring and edible glitter or sprinkles.
Melt the chocolate, spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and tint it with food colouring, then swirl the colours together.
Sprinkle edible glitter or decorations over it, then chill in fridge. Once set, break into pieces.
TAKES THE BISCUIT: For a whimsical twist on classic sugar cookies, try your hand at unicorn sugar cookie bakes.
Whip up a batch of dough with 100g unsalted butter (room temperature), 50g of granulated sugar and 200g of all- purpose flour. Divide the dough into portions and tint each with different food colourings.

Roll out the dough, cut it into unicorn shapes, then bake until golden brown. Once cooled, unleash your inner artist by decorating the cookies with royal icing in vibrant colours.
Add edible glitter or sprinkles for extra sparkle.
Little ones will enjoy creating their own unicorn masterpieces.
MAGIC MIX: Short on time but still want to join in the festivities? Asda has a Mr Kipling Unicorn colour-changing cupcake mix on offer for £1.50, down from £2, which makes creating magical treats a breeze.

CHOC ON: Warm your soul with a cup of unicorn hot chocolate, a delightful twist on a classic winter treat.
