THE end of the Fortnite OG season is coming with a “Big Bang.”

One of the biggest rappers in the history of the genre, Eminem, is the guest performer at a new event that closes out this season.

The Fortnite Big Bang event, which was scheduled for Saturday, December 2, is expected to be one of the most significant Fortnite events, according to leaks, and began on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET / 7 pm GMT.

Those who missed out on the event have the chance to tune in as two more showings of The Big Bang have been added due to long queues and waiting times, the official Fortnite X account announced.

Fortnite will prepare for the next Chapter after the Big Bang event concludes, and the v28.00 update will begin at 8:30 pm PT / 11:30 pm ET on December 2, and 4:30 am GMT on December 3.

Gamers should expect scheduled downtime during these hours.

  • Fortnite makes huge money

Fortnite really is a global phenomenon and brings in an incredible amount of cash.

It made $2.4 billion in 2018, more money than any game in history had managed over a 12-month period.

The total revenue for the game is estimated at around $3.8 billion.

Its monthly revenue peaked in December 2017 at $372.2 million, with third-party analysis indicating it has declined 56% since then.

  • Two extra showings of Eminem’s performance added

The official Fortnite X account has shared some exciting news for fans and gamers who missed out on Big Bang live.

  • Why Fortnite got banned from mobile app stores

Fortnite was banned by Apple and Google Play in 2020 after using an unapproved payment mechanism in their game.

The removal came due to an update that let players buy in-game currency at a reduced rate if they bought directly from Epic Games’ website as opposed to the App Store.

Apple takes a standard 30 percent cut of sales from its compulsory payment system.

Apple said Epic had taken the “unfortunate step of violating the App Store guidelines.”

Epic mentioned that anyone with the game downloaded on their iPhone will still be available to play until the next update is released, which will delete certain features.

There are currently over 1,900 reports of outages on Downdetector for Fortnite.

  • V-Bucks cannot be gifted

There is no way to gift other players V-Bucks in-game, as the game developers, Epic Games, made it clear they do not wish players to earn their V-Bucks this way as it could lead to scams.

The only method of ‘gifting’ V-Bucks is to buy a gift card online or in-store, so there is no gifting system in-game.

You can pick up these gift cards in GAME, Amazon, Curry’s or Argos and will have the value of V-Bucks on them.

  • What to know about V-Bucks

V-Bucks is a form of virtual currency used in the game Fortnite, which can either be earned in the game or paid for using real money.

Virtual currency isn’t just restricted to Fortnite, with other popular games such as FIFA using their own type of credit.

V-Bucks are used to buy in-game skins for characters, and other items.

Up to 13,500 V-Bucks can be purchased at once.

  • Everything to know about Fortnite

Fortnite is an online video game played by up to 250 million people across the world.

In it, 100 players compete on their own or with a small group of pals to grab weapons, gather resources and build defenses, before fighting it out to be the last man (or team) standing.

Matches take about 20 minutes, and you can drop into a new game within seconds of your previous one finishing.

It’s bright, it’s cartoony and it’s fiendishly compelling.

Skill is rewarded but luck also plays a huge role, meaning no two games are ever the same and everyone feels like they have a chance of winning.

The ensemble features Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, dressed in a suit jacket, and Peter Griffin from Family Guy, dressed in a form-fitting dinner jacket.
