FORTNITE went offline today, as the game prepared for its next big event.
Chapter 4 Season 4 of Fortnite is getting its third major content update, and it’s time for its annual Halloween event.
Fortnitemares 2023 will bring spooky-themed items to the game, including old favourites and a number of new skins.
Kado Thorn is a new boss coming to the island, but luckily there’s a new weapon built to take them on.
The Wood Stake Shotgun deals additional damage to vampires, and they’ll drop another new weapon, the Vampiric Blade, if defeated.
The Pumpkin Launcher and Witch Broom are also making a comeback, giving you spooky ways to battle.

Sanguine Sweets are also making a comeback and will be available all over the map to give players an extra boost.
Fortnite fans can also compete in 25 new quests until November 3 at 8am UK time / 3am ET, with three new sets of rewards.
- Complete 5 quests – Bat Royale back bling and Cat banner icon
- Complete 15 quests – Sweet! Emote, Phantasmic Fall contrail, and Hypno-Bat Spray
- Complete 25 quests – Revenant Rider glider, Within the Sanctum loading screen, and Rise of the Revenant lobby track
Horde Rush mode is also available until November 3, with a different set of three rewards to grab.

- Complete 7 quests – Batwing Bonespiker pickaxe
Aside from all of these rewards, there are four returning and three new skins that you can purchase in the item shop.
The returning outfits include: Seth, Bogstick, Phantom Meowscles, and Festival Phaedra.
There are three new crossover skins available, including Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Michael Myers from Friday the 13th, and Alan Wake from the Alan Wake games.
Fortnitemares 2023 has just begun so grab all the new gear while you can.
