FORTNITE is getting ready for one of its biggest events ever, where the whole world will be destroyed.

But before the Fortnite Big Bang event, which will feature Eminem as the headliner, there will be some downtime to prepare for the next season.

This is scheduled downtime, so we know when it will go down, and how long it will last.

Here’s everything we know about Fortnite’s downtime following the Big Bang event.

Fortnite downtime: When will Fortnite go down for the Big Bang event?

The Fortnite Big Bang event will begin on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm UK time.

There will also be a waiting room for players before the event starts which will open 30 minutes before the event goes live.

The main game modes will go down before the event to allow the servers to update for the Big Bang.

Fortnite’s main modes are expected to go offline starting from 9am PT / 12pm PT / 5pm UK time on December 2.

Servers will go live again at 10:30am PT / 1:30pm ET / 6:30pm UK time so that people can enter the waiting room for the Big Bang.

Creator-made modes will be available during these times, including during the event.

After the Big Bang event concludes, Fortnite will prepare for the next Chapter.

This means that all modes will go down including the creator made modes that remain live during the event.

The Fortnite v28.00 update will begin at 8:30pm PT / 11:30pm ET on December 2, and 4:30am UK time  on December 3.

There is no official end for the downtime, but this usually takes several hours.
