What to know about V-Bucks

V-Bucks is a form of virtual currency used in the game Fortnite, which can either be earned in the game or paid for using real money.

Virtual currency isn’t just restricted to Fortnite, with other popular games such as FIFA using their own type of credit.

V-Bucks are used to buy in-game skins for characters, and other items.

Up to 13,500 V-Bucks can be purchased at once.

Why Fortnite got banned from mobile app stores

Fortnite was banned by Apple and Google Play in 2020 after using an unapproved payment mechanism in their game.

The removal came due to an update that let players buy in-game currency at a reduced rate if they bought directly from Epic Games’ website as opposed to the App Store.

Apple takes a standard 30 percent cut of sales from its compulsory payment system.

Apple said Epic had taken the “unfortunate step of violating the App Store guidelines.”

Epic mentioned that anyone with the game downloaded on their iPhone will still be available to play until the next update is released, which will delete certain features.

Fortnite OG will make an epic return next year

During the six-year history of the game, Fortnite OG is without a doubt the most profitable season.

Old-timers and new players alike were drawn to the Chapter 1 flashback season to discover what sparked Fortnite’s meteoric rise in popularity.

Fortnite OG had over 44 million players at launch and reached 100 million in November.

Epic Games has now formally revealed that the game will return in 2024.
