FORTNITE Chapter 5 Season 2, Myths & Mortals, is almost upon us, bringing tonnes of changes to the Battle Royale game.

With its Ancient Greek myth theme, the new season adds a roster of Olympian gods into the game, new weapons, map locations, and more.

Here’s all the new content coming to Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths & Mortals, and how long you will have to level up your Battle Pass.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 start time

The new Myths & Mortals season starts on March 8, 2024, after the maintenance period required to update Fortnite with the new seasonal content is complete.

Downtime for the new season started at 8am UK Time / 3am ET, with matchmaking turned off half an hour earlier. 

Based on previous updates, the Fortnite servers for Chapter 5 Season 2 should be back online by 12pm UK Time / 7am ET on March 8.

Fortnite Myths & Mortals Battle Pass

As usual, the new season comes with a brand-new Battle Pass, which will let players unlock Olympian god skins, including Zeus and Artemis, as well as other Greek myth characters, such as Cerberus and Medusa.

An Avatar: The Last Airbender collab will bring a Korra skin to the Battle Pass later in Chapter 5 Season 1.

The new Battle Pass costs the usual 950 V-Bucks to unlock, and players can earn up to 1500 V-Bucks back by playing the game.

Players can progress their Battle Pass until May 24, 2024, at 7am UK Time / 2am ET, when Chapter 5 Season 2 will end.

New Greek myth skins in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

The new Myths & Mortals season comes with seven new skins based on Greek gods and mythical characters, which players can grab by leveling up their Battle Pass.

Earning XP across all Fortnite modes, including the more recent Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, counts towards the unlock rewards.

Here’s every Olympian’s outfit you will be able to get with the new Battle Pass:

  • Hades
  • Aphrodite
  • Poseidon
  • Artemis
  • Cerberus
  • Medusa

In addition to the skins above, Korra from Avatar: The Last Airbender will also be added as a Battle Pass reward later this season.

New locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

The latest Myths & Mortals season brings four locations to the Battle Royale map, including the brand-new Mount Olympus POI.

Here’s all the new points of interest coming with Chapter 5 Season 2:

  • Mount Olympus
  • Brawler’s Battleground
  • Grim Gate
  • Underworld

South of Mount Olympus, in the Brawler’s Battleground POI, you will be able to challenge the Greek god of war, Ares.

The Grim Gate is where the mythical Cerberus awaits, guarding the entrance to the Underworld.

Fortnite Myths & Mortals Weapons

Myths & Mortals comes with five new weapons, including the Thunderbolt of Zeus, which lets you wield the power of the king of the gods.

The weapon is a Mythic item, and can be found in chests or by defeating Zeus himself.

Other new weapons include the Gatekeeper Shotgun, which fires three rounds and has a Mythic variant you can snatch from Cerberus.

Hades’ Harbinger SMG is very accurate on the first shot but has massive recoil and bloom as more shots are fired.

The Huntress DMR of Aremis is a long-range rifle, while Ares’ Warforged AR offers high DPS at the price of significant recoil.
