KEEPING your old perfume bottles makes scents.
You can use them to house your own homemade beauty products, transform them into ornaments or recycle them and get rewards.
Here are five ways to turn empties into treasures . . .
FLOWER POWER: Empty perfume bottles make lovely flower vases.
Rinse yours with soapy water and then fill with water and fresh flower stems.
STAY FRESH: If you’re down to the last dregs of your favourite scent, fill the bottle with water and use it to spritz over previously worn clothes to freshen them up before wearing them again.
MIST BE A GOOD IDEA: A beautiful empty bottle can be reused to make your own DIY facial mist.
Wash the glass bottle thoroughly a few times in hot water and soap.
Then fill with water and a few drops of alcohol-free witch hazel and your chosen essential oil.
SELL TO SAVE: There’s a huge secondhand market for empty perfume bottles.

The selling prices will vary but Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Creed bottles sold recently on eBay for up to £50, so it’s well worth listing them to make yourself a little bit of extra money this month.
RECYCLE FOR REWARDS: If you don’t want to reuse your empty perfume bottles, you can recycle them.
Most areas have recycling programmes that accept glass bottles.
Or you can get 15 per cent off a new perfume at The Perfume Shop when you return your empty unbroken glass bottle to the store for recycling.
