APPLE fans were left amazed by a clever menu trick that lets you use your iPhone even faster.
It’s handy if you’re browsing the web – but it’s got plenty of other uses too.
Normally when you want to go back on iPhone, you have to tap the back arrow.
But if you’re trying to go back several times, there’s a better way.
In a Reddit thread with dozens of upvotes, one Apple fan wrote: “Today I learned you can hold the back button to jump back multiple steps.
“I can’t believe I’ve never accidentally discovered this before.”

Try it: go into Safari and hold down on the back button on an open tab.
You’ll be able to choose from entries in your recent history.
iPhone owners were amazed by the discovery, with one replying: “Bruhhh. Finally I don’t have to press back thousands of times.”
Another said: “That’s so useful! Thanks for sharing.”

It’s not just Safari that this works on either.
It works on multiple apps, including the default Settings app on your iPhone.
In regular apps (i.e. not Safari) you’ll be able to return through recent submenus.
SWITCHEROO
There’s also another hack for navigating your iPhone called the “white bar” trick.
This lets you quickly switch between apps that you’ve been using recently.
Many people simply swipe one app closed then tap on another to switch to it.
That or they navigate into the App Switcher carousel to choose a recent app.
But you can quickly switch between recent apps with a simple swipe trick.

Simply swipe on the white home bar at the bottom of the screen – it’s a small horizontal line that also can also appear as black.
Dragging left and right on this lets you quickly navigate between apps without having to close out of them.
