APPLE has just announced its upcoming VR headset called the Vision Pro.
A release date, price, and details were given about the upcoming tech, and Apple fans were left in shock.
The Vision Pro is supposed to pave the way for the VR headsets of the future.
Saying that this technology will eventually be used as a replacement for smartphones, see people on voice calls and meetings right in front of you.
Apps can be opened by tracking your eye movements, and it can be linked to your Mac to use with your computer functions.
While the new technology is certainly exciting, the reactions from fans are definitely mixed.
There are obvious concerns about how the new tech will work, and whether it will be as smooth and seamless as the trailer makes it look.
Many people also complain about feelings of motion sickness while using VR technology, a problem which is yet to be reasonably fixed.
It is also powered through an external battery pack, linked by a cable, and only offers up to two hours of use.
However, these are all common concerns with new technologies as they go through their launches.

The Vision Pro will be different from other VR headsets currently on the market, as the main focus for most headsets is gaming.
By contrast this hopes to be a phone replacement, with entertainment as a secondary function.
CEO of Apple Tim Cook said the Vision Pro will “change the way we communicate, collaborate, work and enjoy entertainment.”
However, the main frustration from fans is the price point for the new headset.
The most expensive luxury VR headsets, such as the Meta Quest Pro and the HTC Vive XR Elite, cost around £1.2k (£1.5k).
However, the Apple Vision Pro is more than twice as expensive, starting at $3.5k (around £2.8k) for the cheapest model.
When this price was announced, there was audible shock and dismay heard from the crowd, after a generally well received showcase.
Apple products are known to be more expensive than their competitors, but this huge increase was still unexpected.
Whether the headset will be successful or not we’ll find out when it releases in 2024.
